When Populous 3: The Beginning was still new and awesome, I got inspired by every little part of it. Even the main menu had a nice touch; your mouse emits light and the text in the menu casted shadows which adjusted their positions based on the position of your mouse. Gave the menu a sense of depth.

As you can see, this is my first blog post on http://murtada.nl. I wanted to have a personal place for my stuff, all gathered on one site. Kind of like a “home” for anything that is linked to me.
Next to that, I wanted to have a space where I could show off my work and skills so people who might be interested could easily see what I can offer them from the kitchen!
So there is a personal and professional side of my homepage. A lot of people who create a website (including me) want to promote a product or just share a story, photograph or other work. It’s pretty hard to know where to begin if you haven’t done this before, but no worries! I’ll give some pointers on how to get your site up and running!
